Customize Messenger Font & Speed

I would like the ability to change the Messenger font, size and style. Ideally to change it to a graphic template, allowing colored text. Also the tracking speed across the top of the screen.

i can understand font / size / style / color / speed
but what do you mean by "graphic template" ?

note my "to do" list is very very crazy long, and way too much of it is in the "critical" list, just to set expectations
but i've been known to "just do" simple things that i'm personally interested in

Yea… That's a long list!

A graphic template would be a bitmap of every character needed which would be captured as sprites and drawn in place of the text. See the attachment as an example:

It would also require a hex file with the parameters for each character:

sorry but you would need to preconvert that "graphic template" into a real font, then install that font, then choose that font as your display font.

but i AM interested in letting you pick a font. just not sure when i'll get to it

Yes, the graphic font would require an entire rewrite of the Messenger code. I figured it wouldn't be a practical option; Just a nice wish…
