"kJams Library" folder

Post by FunkyRob »

I've been painstakenly zipping .cdg & mp3 files into a kJams music folder on an external hard drive.

When I go to File -> Add To Library I get the following message.

You Can't add songs in the kJams folder to your library. If they're not, throw out your "kJams Library" Folder.

Um, where is the so-called "kJams Library" folder??

Why not just load them up in kJams without zipping them? I'm guessing you're trying to save space, that's fine. In the future kJams will be able to zip all unzipped files.

.
Sorry, that should read:
You can't add songs in the kJams Music Folder to your library, they're already there. If they're not, pick the menu: Advanced -> Special -> Scan “kJams Music” folder for orphaned songs…
Here is a new page about that:

I tried that earlier, but it only found about or so 60 songs when I have over 100.

I ended up moving all of the songs over to another folder and then added them to library.

It seems you can't add non cdg rips to the same folder where the cdg rips go.

Interesting.
