KJPro
I'm curious to know what people think about KJPro closing down. They were the best database for importing discs, for me. All the information was always there. The other ones aren't nearly as complete, nor are they able to correctly recognize a lot of discs.
Re: KJPro
I'm contacting them to see if they'd be interested in having kJams.com actually host their database for free for life. we'll see what they say.

Re: KJPro
Oh, cool! My fingers are crossed.
Re: KJPro
they have not replied

What about this... http://www.tricerasoft.com/wp/mainpage/?page_id=151
Re: KJPro
that seems to be proprietary
Re: KJPro
I don't suppose there's any movement on this?
Re: KJPro
nope. their site is down, they don't answer or return phone calls, and no longer respond to tech support tickets.
Re: KJPro
they're still not answering. i tried email, phone, forum tech support, even FAX, but i got nothing
Re: KJPro
Damn, hope you get some movement on this.
I don't know about anyone else, but I would pay extra for this to be integrated into Kjams.
You could have it as an extra module, like Producer.
I would love for some automatic tag insertion / correction - FreeDB and musicbrainz are both incomplete databases on the karaoke side of things
Maybe I ought to add this to the requested feature section.

i wish i had something for ya there
Re: KJPro
the KayJayPro meta data database IS back up, however, and works great with kJams!
