burned cdg
Is there a way to burn disc so that they an be copied using a pc, I tried it but I've been unable to copy using diskjuggler which is the prog I've used in the past on a pc

DiscJuggler should have no problem copying CD+G discs burnt by kJams. I'm not doing anything special or proprietary, they are standard CDDA discs with R-W subchannels containing RedBook compliant graphics information. If DiscJuggler is having trouble, I wonder can it copy commercial discs? If not it may just be your drive that is not compatible. Are you using Parallels or BootCamp?

Well I'm utterly mystified by that. I swear I'm not doing anything special *on purpose* so that other machines can read them. My question becomes: can regular karaoke harware read your kJams burnt discs? Are you using CDR or CDRW? Are you using an IntelMac with Parallels or BootCamp?

Then how can you possibly be talking about DiscJuggler, since it only runs on Windows?

Umm, kJams is copying software.
But anyway, have you tried AudioGrabber on your PC?
Do you have an Intel mac or a PPC mac? (see "About This Mac...")

The best copy prog I've used for copying CDGs has been diskjuggler but I will try AudioGrabber
I have an Intel mac
I should say that the problem is only a problem if a singer wants to practice at home with one of my disc, if their pc doesnt recognise the disc then it wont play on their pc, also thay can't copy it (which I think maybe a good thing) And also if on the odd occation that I need to copy. I am in the habit of using the pc for this, but I will have to try kjams to copy.
I just find it odd cos at the end of the day it's just a computer file, it's a CDG and it should copy on a pc

Then dude, you should be using Parallels, not a whole separate computer.I have an Intel mac
I also have to say I've never ever heard of this except from you. I am able to burn a disc with kJams and play and/or rip it on Windows.
No in fact it is not. It is a CDDA disc. There is no "file system", there are no "files". Just one long spiral track with interleaved audio in the "user area" and timing information in the P-Q subchannels and graphics in the R-W subchannels.at the end of the day it's just a computer file
It will ONLY copy on a drive that is capable of reading the R-W subchannels, and in fact most computer CD drives are not capable of this. If you want just the music you're all set, all drives can read it. but if you want the graphics too, you're going to need a special drive (which you may have)[/url]

I dont want to use windows on my mac. I dont see the point of having a mac and running windows or any other operating system

Personally I don't see the point of having two computers when one will do the work of both.
