Copying songs to a new library

I have decided it is time for a major overhaul of my Karaoke library. I want to just start from scratch and bring in new songs in a more orderly fashion so I don't have duplicates (triplicates.... in some cases even more) and the metadata and naming is consistent. I created a playlist of all the songs I have played at various venues. I was hoping there was an easy way for me to export the songs and their current metadata, which I could then import into a new library. Is this possible?

select the playlist
file->export->entire playlist: all files
select "heirarchic", then "by artist"
rename that to "kJams Music" and use that as a base when you rebuild kJams
