Got it working using SoundFlower and Gargeband I love the way you can use the smarts in Garageband.

As an aside I have started ripping my dvd's it is slow and tedious but HandBrake does the job. I will be trying all of this out tomorrow at our Australia Day BBQ. I will let you know how it went ...

How do you setup garageband as the vocals output interface, I read your article but it seemed to be talking about recording voice rather then live vocals?

I am trying to use Yamaha AudioGram 3 as microphone input device, my mac knows about it but when I set it as the audio input and default audio output I don't hear voice coming through the computer. Mine is just a home setup and I want everything to go through the mac.
