Dave,
That did the trick. Not sure I would tried to teach that to my wife who frequently runs the machine, but at least I can set it up for her when she has a party.

Crash on Burn of CD+G
After completing the rip process, I get a series of error messages (always the same) that say the following:
Assert Fail: i_sortSpec.i_seIP, in file: '/Users/davec/Developer/depot/kJams/Development/ source/Music/CPlayList.cpp' at line 5684
After clicking OK, KJams crashes. I restart and find the ...

Import Playlist
I see in the File menu the option to Export a Playlist. I've done this with a Favorite Playlist for a singer in one Venue. Is there a way to Import that playlist into a Singer's Favorite list in another Venue?

Re: More Chartbuster info
Dave, Thanks for following up and helping us out. I did subscribe to the monthly plan and it authenticated and allowed streaming.
On a separate note, when my kJams Pro loads and parses the Chartbuster playlist, I occasionally get crashes. If you let me know what to capture the next time I load it ...

Re: More Chartbuster info
So, I tried the KJams Pro Pass with Chartbuster ... the ability to stream for 48 hrs. We were planning for a party and I thought I'd give it a try. Well, it simply didn't work. The system kept responding with Invalid User.

Re: More Code!!! Automate transferring singers between venue
I looked at the suggestion Dave provided on making Aliases in the Finder directories, copying the aliases to the new venue that I create (noting that you have to create at least one singer in the venue to get the Singers> directory), and then renaming the alias in the Venue. .... Not something I ...

Re: Capability to Search in the Comment Field
Worked perfectly. Thanks for clarifying Dave. I didn't understand that the definition of the field (not the characters in the field) determined the search criteria.

Capability to Search in the Comment Field
Dave,
I chose to use the Comment field in the metadata for tracking disks in our filing shelves (each disk is numbered). I tried to do a search for a specific disk number, but the results of the search are empty. When I remove the search criteria, all the songs in the library are listed. I can sort ...

Re: Guest Karaoke DJ
So my current approach is to create an account that operates as karaoke DJ. I'm then exporting the songs I've ripped from the library into quicktime. The guest users can only see the quicktime versions of the songs (which they can load into ipods, share in itunes, etc.). It looks like my guest ...

Guest Karaoke DJ
I'm setting up a brand new computer with kjams specifically for our karaoke library. I'm interested in creating an 'administrator' account (parents) that can manage the library (add/delete/modify). However, we have guest "KJ's" (the kids and their friends as Karaoke Jockey's) that we want to be able ...
