By "killing playlists" I mean: every time I open kJams, it tells me that it's lost/can't find/deleted (I don't remember which, I've been afraid to open the program unnecessarily) Singer A's favorites, Singer A's History, Singer B's Tonight List, Singer C's Favorites, Singer D's History, Singer E's H...

I'm having issues with kJams killing playlist after playlist of random selections of singers at every time I open it. Can I just go to Time Machine at the beginning of November before this became and issue and fix it by copying the entire kJams folder from ~/Library/kJams or do I need to restore oth...

I usually hit command-z to Undo when that happens. I think it has to be the very next action after hitting the space bar, too.

No...you can't. As a band, you're allowed to cover ANY song. You have to pay automatic royalties to do so, but the rates are set based on the length of the song and nobody can refuse you the right to perform or publish those performances.
