K-jams audio track in garageband?

Post by Gary Reed »

HELP!
I need to put the audio track from kjams into a track in Garageband so that I can sing over top of it and save it. Then I am going to add it to video in i-movie. I have done this before but lately something has changed and I am un-able to get the track from k-jams into garageband. Can anyone tell me step by step how I can accomplish this please? Yes I am the one who needs to be walked through the process, sorry.

to recap, we got on the fone and determined that many of his files were zipped MP3 files, and they were the ones that worked. but the others were ripped using AAC (which embeds the audio in a quicktime .mov container). These didn't work. I showed him how to install the MP3 encoder, and then how to convert his existing .mov songs to MP3. Then it all worked like a charm.
