kJams for Windows wont launch

I'm new to the karaoke world. I'm trying to put together a PC based karaoke system to use for parties. I've downloaded both kjams lite and kjams pro and at launch i keep getting the following error

C:\Program Files (x86)\kJams Lite.app\Contents\Windows\kJams Lite.exe

The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please
see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail.

Please help, I've tried everything I can think of to make it work with no success. I am running a 64bit windows 7 PC.
