external hard drive

HI Dave, I recently transferred my kjams music folder from my imac to an external hard drive. Followed the instructions, made an alias, moved it back, then named it just kjams. (also deleted original etc ). Prob I have now is when I try to "change" where it gets the music from, it doesn't register. I put "change to external drive kjams music folder" but then when i exit out of that, I see no music in my library. Its in the external drive ok, but I just cant seem to get it back to run from kjams
