Downloading Music From Karaoke Locker...

Post by Scott Parr »

Bought a song (Boston - "Long Time" [Stingray])to try this out and couldn't find it. I used the "Add To Library" feature and saw two versions of the song. A "zip" version and an ".m4v" version.

Turns out that they were added to my library not as "Boston" but as "In The Style Of Boston", great first question answered by myself :-)

So my main point here is that BOTH copies are being added to my library. I just want one. I deleted the ".m4v" one and kept the "CDG" version. Am I doing this correctly? I just don't want 2 of everything I buy in my library.

Thanks!!!

you're paying for a full set then deleting half the set? you get a CDG version which you can burn to disc, it is low quality video. you also get an m4v version, which has high quality video, this is the one you likely want to use when you play the song. it's like you buy an "iPhone + iPad" set, then throw out the iPad (the larger one with the higher quality display). they have different uses and are used in different situations, they both have actual value that i don't think you want to lose.

if you prefer a library with only one copy from the set, make a new playlist and only add the songs you ever want to see.
