I was on annual leave from the day job last week and spent most of it reading the wiki and playing with kJams, however I thought I read something that I now cannot find...
Is it possible, or likely to be possible one day, to use a standard web-enabled smart phone to access the server in a similar way to the way you can with iJams? Is it a case of figuring out how to do the "hyper savvy" bit of the server wiki and have people access that site?
Thanks,
Chris.
server on a non iPhone phone?
Re: server on a non iPhone phone?
you can do that now. if the smartphone has Bonjour, just browse thru bonjour to kJams.
if it does not have bonjour, then you must enter the IP address and port number of the server into the mobile browser.
also note: the mobile phone MUST be on the same WIFI network as the server, for obvious reasons. (or: the server must be on a public IP address, then you can use the mobile network)
