Sorry about the delay in getting back to you
I know it sounds daft but once I'm (in that state) I cannot delete at all. When I close kjams and reopen I find that I am still unable to delete, no matter how many times I close the program and reopen I still cannot delete.
Then the next night I open kjams and hey presto! I can delete, that is untill I get to the state that I cannot delete, and then no matter what I do I cannot delete. I've even tried turning the laptop off but I am still unable to delete untill that is, the next night.
I know it dont make sense becouse when I first turn on and open kjams I can delete.
Due to the problem I now delete all that I could'nt delete from the night before at the beginning of the night, before I get to that state, Once I'm in that state I move the songs around in the singers tonight list to make sure that those songs that should'nt be there are not the next song to be sung, Once they have sung all they want to do that night I unmark the singer as here
As for the focus ring I will have to report back tomorrow bocouse I can't get into that state at the moment

wait a minute.
are you deleting actual songs from the library? or now it sounds like you're *removing* songs from playlists? or is it deleting from a singer's tonight list? songs from the singers' tonight lists are supposed to auto remove (and go into their history).
are you saying that when you run a rotation that songs don't get removed from a singer's tonight list after they've sung?
note: remove is NOT delete. tho it uses the delete key too, it only removes the ALIAS to the song in the library, no actual songs are deleted.

i presume you mean "remove tracks from the singer's playlist"
am I correct?
Note: you can only remove a track if it is NOT the currently playing song. To remove THAT, you have to STOP the rotation first (with command period or escape), THEN you can remove it.

I have only tried to remove tracks that are not actually playing and, yes I am removing tracks from the tonight list.
The problem arises when folk request to sing a song one night but they don,t have the time to sing it, so the next time they come they will sometimes chose to sing a different song so then I need to remove the previous nights songs.
P.S. I keep typing "delete" and then I have to edit the word to "remove", so if a "delete" sneaks through' I'll apologize now.

Now, the ONLY reason you are manually attempting to remove songs from the Tonight list is because kJams is failing to remove them automatically, is that correct?
if so, both problems could be the same bug!

there is no fast forward, i think you mean "skip"
yes, skip forward should also auto-remove.
clarification: a paused song is still technically playing, so you STILL can't delete that from a "Tonight" list. You MUST have another song playing, OR you must STOP (command period or escape) the song before you can delete it.

I know, if I am removing a song from the tonight list that some idiot asked to do and then changes their mind I always stop the song, but I usually can't remove it so I move the track to the bottom of their tonight list.dave wrote:there is no fast forward, i think you mean "skip"

It does sometimes
