General help with Mac Problem

Just talk about kJams stuff with each other, describe things you did that worked, talk about your setup, anything that doesn't fit into the other forums!

I know he said she said what he said and all that, but it happened again last night and for the life of me I couldn't remember how to get out of it. I had to phone home and get the missis to look it up on here for me. After her searching and me searching I remembered it was something to do with scrolling whilst hitting the ctrl or whatever button is programmed to do it. I use a magic mouse and they're great and fast to use but it's because of using the magic mouse that I had the problem to start with. So I looked at system prefs/universal access/options and unchecked "Use scroll wheel with modifier keys to zoom" Problem solved now and forever.
The computers I use for karaoke are only used for karaoke presenting so this option would never be used because it interferes with the karaoke screens.

Actually, I wrote a launcher script that does a lot of this automatically, backs up the venues folder, turns off spaces and exposé, changes Adium so that it does not play interface sounds through the speakers, etc. I could customize it if you want, to do what you want, and then instead of running kJams, you just run the script, and it takes care of all system set up, including launching kJams. To quit, just run the launcher again, and it restores settings.

It should be noted that I don't really use my own script much any more, mostly because:
1) I have been lulled into a perhaps false sense of security by kJams' newfound stability in terms of randomly deleting singers. Fingers crossed.
2) Dave has added the functionality to keep video window on top during Exposé and Spaces animations.
3) I am just too lazy to make the changes I need to make to adapt to the above.
