HI, newbie here. I have to say I love how KJams is set up. Much easier sorting through songs this way instead of separate discs. I have thousands of songs that I have collected and rather than print lots of paper catalogs, can audience members "text" or use their iPhones or any other portable devices to search my database and add themselves to my Kjams "Singers?" I realize I would have to be online via Wi-Fi, but am wondering if there is something remotely possible.
thanks!
Can the audience text or wi-fi their song choices to Kjams?

Yes you actually can! type in "ijams" in the kjams website search bar.

As already pointed out, your singers can d/l the iJams app, and submit songs over their iPhones. They will need to come to you first to get a password to access their existing history. If they just use the iPhone to create a new singer, they will NOT be able to access their old songs (which makes sense, since as far as kJams knows, they are new.)
To assign a password, context click a singer, and select "Get Info" (You really need to change that, Dave!) and type their preferred password into the dialogue box.
Singers with laptops with WiFi can access kJams directly, on the port you specify. By default it is set to 12345.
Either way, for iJams or kJams server to work, it needs to be activated. To turn on server in the first place, go to preferences, and click the server tab. There you can also set the active port.
For singers to find you, they need to have a BonJour/mDNS enabled device. Anything running Safari will have this on by default. They can then find you in their bookmarks.
Same is true for Chrome, with a little finesse.
For other browsers, they have to download mDNS or Bon Jour from Apple, or elsewhere, and turn it on themselves.
Once done, it should all work automatically.
