kJams Web Server & Netbooks in Kiosk mode

I am looking to take some older netbooks and configure them for dedicated kJams Kiosk browsers.

Has anyone started to configure dedicated netbooks for singers @ venues? If so, any recommendations? What HW & SW configs did you use? etc.

i plan on purchasing a mini laptop windows machine for 300 dollars just for freinds at parties to log onto and add their songs to their playlists.
