Post by dreben »

Hi Dave,
Next time, when you advertise your software, you'd better type - "not for Cyrillic" user.
I was wating for more than two years to fix it but no luck!!!

oh my gosh! okay, right:
eng, french, german, japanese, italian, spanish, chinese. i think that's it.
note that if you'd like a Russian translation of kJams, there are strings files that could just be easily translated.
probably an AI could do it in a few seconds?

Sorry Dave, This is not I've been asking for. My question was about search in "Cyrillic" files in data base. To be precise - for example, If I look for a file named "мога", I have to type "ога" in Cyrillic. This is annoying.
Best regards:
Krassi
PS - Sorry, my English.

oh, so you're not talking about cyrillic, you're talking about fuzzy search, so that "м" maps to "m", right?
that's a different story.
and it's not "files" either, which threw me off, it's "meta data", that includes song name, artist, album, etc.
thanks for clarifying!
i'll look more into this and write back

okay so i can confirm that it is working to search for cyrillic->cyrillic (not the same as fuzzy search, but at least it works?)

Example: If I look for a song called "лятото" in Cyrillic, it shows wrong result. But if I miss the first letter "л" ятото, then is correct.
