Hello,
I am converting all my cdg to mp4
with producer I change the colors then export with QT
I drag & drop song.cdg in kjams or drag & drop song.cdg + song.mp3
the first time I load producer kjams says
"there was a problem opening this song with producer. No Audio?
the second time I load producer that's OK.
Producer No Audio?
Re: Producer No Audio?
the song name and cdg name must be exactly the same, except for the extension.
eg:
"my strange song name - with a weird artist.mp3"
"my strange song name - with a weird artist.cdg"
they really must be identical.
then you only need drag and drop one or the other (or both is fine) onto kJams.
test the song before opening with producer, by playing it.

Re: Producer No Audio?
Right, Dave
If I play first the song, the producer load the mp3 at first launch.
if i don't play the song I need to load producer twice to get the mp3

Re: Producer No Audio?
okay, so following the "repro steps" guidelines, does it go like this:
0: make sure "auto play when adding single song to library" is OFF in the Audio prefs
1: have an unzipped mp3+g file pair
2: add them to the library
3: select the newly added song
4: in the menu bar, go to "Advanced->Producer"
--> an error dialog comes up: "there was a problem opening this song with producer. No Audio?"
is that correct?

Re: Producer No Audio?
Dave,
I've unchecked "auto play when adding single song to library" in kjams preferences
import some cdg unzipped
all is fine
the producer is loading at first time
and never the error dialog comes up.

Re: Producer No Audio?
please still answer the question, there IS a bug here that is not fixed.
is it like THIS??
0: make sure "auto play when adding single song to library" is ON in the Audio prefs
1: have an unzipped mp3+g file pair
2: add them to the library
3: select the newly added song
4: in the menu bar, go to "Advanced->Producer"

Re: Producer No Audio?
Sorry Dave
My system is OSX 10.8.5
I follow yours instructions
I 've tested with drag & drop a song.cdg OR song.cdg with song.mp3
with "auto play when adding single song to library" was ON or OFF
in all cases I was not able to reproduce the "error dialog"
When "auto play when adding single song to library" is ON
kjams plays the last playing song and not the last adding song I've drag & drop
So I stop the playing song, select the new one I've dropped on kjams
and Producer is loading fine at first time when I select the newly added song
the only difference when "error dialog" cames up is that I've cleared the size cache

Re: Producer No Audio?
i suspect you did not quit kjams then run as step -2
so add this:
-2) quit kjams, then run again
does THAT cause the problem?
if so, then you had not stopped the previous song, you had only paused it.
