Producer Bake & Clear functions

Where can I find a description or example of what these Producer functions really do, why you need them, and when should you use them?

"bake" is old, not really needed.

"clear" is used to clear CDG instructions from an existing CDG song, generally it's not used when coming from TunePrompter.
