Messenger Rotation

Hello,

Love this feature!

Wondering if there is a way to keep it rotating across the screen instead of just briefly showing.

It really keeps the show moving as singers see their name and head for the stage before previous song is finished. Even other customers will be saying, "Hey, Joe, you're up next!"

no but you can periodically pick "messenger rotation" from the menu, or use QuicKeys to script it to happen every minute or so?

eventually there'll be a whole messenger editor where you can set a playlist of messages to happen on a timeline, then you can set it up to do whatever you want

Hmm, how about a short cut to repeat the last message? Is this possible like some of the other menu options, like "command R"?? Would be nice instead of having to retype each time.

the "messenger rotation" is automatic, it shows the next 3 singers and songs, you don't have to type anything.

if you want to type a message, and then show it multiple times, then enter the message with "enter custom screen message", then use "Message" item under the video menu. not the same as messenger, are you wanting it under messenger instead?

more like "also" - I use the heck out of the "Enter Custom Screen Message" / Message feature. I would be good to have a similar option for the messenger.

Personally, it makes more sense to have it repeat the messenger rotation but i can see it useful using messenger message for other messages, like "Last call" while a singer is singer as not to interrupt the lyrics screen. Custom screen message is more for in between songs, right?

Thanks for the tip!

I used "keyboard shortcuts", just have to hit the keys every once in awhile and it works just fine.

Looking forward to the editor as you keep tweaking it.

So i can create my own keyboaerd shortcuts?? I dont know how to do that but i will have to do some research and learn how. Is it easy to do?

Hi Brendan,

Here's what I did, wasn't too bad at all.

1- Go to "keyboard and mouse" in system preferences

2- Click keyboard shortcuts

3- Click the "+" sign down around lower left

4- A new window opens

5- Put Kjams in the application area

6- Then type the menu title, in this case, "messenger rotation"

7- Now type the shortcut you want to use, I used: apple/z

8- Click add

9- Restart Kjams, and that should do it.

Hi, I am not a professional, but a novice that used Kjams for home parties. I love the program, but have a question on the viewed singer rotation. On my machine I get one singer listed many times on my singer rotation screen, not the next sequence of singers. I hope it is just some setting I have to correct.
