I've hosted karaoke at bars and private parties for a while using another piece of software (Windows based, yuck) , and am trying to make the switch to using my Powerbook for these shows now.
I'm working from a 400 GB external hard drive with over 70,000 tracks on it that I've purchased in the last 10 years, and for some reason they won't play.
The library populates the moment that I turn kJams on, but when I click on a file to play it I don't actually get anything from it. The black screen where my karaoke words should appear says "Play: (Artist Name)" (in this case me testing with Carrie Underwood so it says "Play: Carrie Underwood" but it doesn't actually play any file, I've tested about 20 of them.
Can anyone help me. I'd like to switch to this program for tonight's show if I can get it working!
Any help would be great!
Thanks,
John Stephens
