2 questions

i have two rather simple questions.

Ok so the corrupt file means that those songs are unplayable?

and

The "search" feature....is that the fastest it goes or is that only for the trial version...cause i wont be able to use the program because it takes like 4 minutes just to look through all the songs and pick the one i searched for.

1) yes, corrupt files are not playable.

2) there must be something wrong with your computer.
how many songs do you have in your library?
do you have "update search results as you type" turned OFF?
what CPU and speed is your computer?

i have 60 thousand songs

My computer is a macbook pro
1.83ghz
512ram
mac osx 10.4

ill have to check if it the search is turned off..but thanks for the speedy reply

that's your problem

you need 2 gigs of ram AT LEAST when you have that many songs.
what's happening is you're swapping virtual memory like crazy, this is called "thrashing".

you need 1 gig AT LEAST just for the operating system.

me i have 4 gigs. the more the merrier.

ive been meaning to get that...THANKS for the reminder!

so i also have 260 gigs of dj music but am i supposed to swap from the program to itunes?

if you're also doing DJ music i recommend MegaSeg but yes iTunes will work okay.
