Genre and Category

I notice when ripping a CD-G, that I can assign a genre and a category for that CD. The Category has a drop down menu of a limited set of what I think of as genres. The genre here - and for each song - has a drop down menu with no options.

I went to YouTube to get information on songs I was ripping, and often found songs listing multiple genres. That makes sense to me.

How do people assign and use categories and genres here?

the CD genre is just pick the closest one and forget it.

if you're not seeing a VERY extenstive list for Song genre, then send me an email and we'll trouble shoot it.
