can't search on international characters?

Post by robtromp »

I've been looking at switching over to your product after becoming disenchanted with Karma (which refuses to work on my new Dell XPS 8500 desktop, and has gone in the wrong direction on remote song selection IMHO). I was able to import and play my wife's Chinese mpg songs, but find that there is no way to search on the Chinese file names - when a series of Chinese characters is entered into the search box, they always get converted back to the Pinyin representation that was typed. Is there any chance this might get fixed? I'd be very likely to become a customer if so, as your program looks to have everything I'm looking for to host our typical family and friends gatherings.

are you on mac or windows?

kJams is fully unicode compliant, so i think the problem is your input method, which is provided by the OS, not by kJams. make sure you've selected the one you really intend to use, then i think it should all work?
