Burner tryout not working

I would like to try the burning application before buying. I have the trial version of kJams Lite and have downloaded and installed the Burner plug-in but the Burn icon doesn't show up in the kJams application and the Burn Playlist menu item is not highlighted. What do I have to do to try burning from my playlist? PS - I have a Mac OS 10.8

did you quit kjams then run it again?

Yes a couple of times but still no Burner access.

when you go to preferences, do you see a "burning" tab?
if you do, do you select the playlist, then click the burn button?

I now have a burn button and will try a test burn. If it works ok I'll purchase. Thanks
