Perian plug in

Hi sorry if I come across like a noob but I am . I downloaded the trial and have every intention of purchasing pro one i learn the program fully. Here is an issue I am having .. I am on a early 2008 macbook btw. when i select a song from the library it says you need the perian plug in installed. I installed it..but I still get that message on almost every song i try and play..some songs I can cancel the message and play anyways , and some wont play at all. Do i need to do something else in settings? Thank you.

are you sure you're on the latest version?
try the rogue version.

Dave I uninstalled and reinstalled the lastest version I am still getting a message saying I need perian plug in..most songs will play..some wont..but as far as the rouge version..I have tried for 2 days no and the link takes me to a "we cant find your page". I really want this to work as I am going to start working some bars.

Hmm dont know if this has anything to do with it but when i closed out kjams window i noticed VLC window was playing the file..maybe thats whats happening..is there a way in settings to make sure its using quicktime?

I get this now on more than half the songs I try to play. I download it and install it and no change???? Not sure but I got a karaoke gig coming up so hopefully we can fix this.
