Corrupt Zip Files

Post by cohnhead »

How do I check my entire library for corrupt ZIP files? When I go to preset playlist, that option is greyed out.

i used to use StuffitExpander to do my unzipping, which could not unzip many zip files, so i called them "corrupt". Then i started using "BOMArchiveHelper", which was better but still choked on many files. Then I hit upon just using the command line "unzip" function, which was able to unzip any zip file. So at this point there's no "corrupted" zip files in general. If you have one or two, that's extremely rare.

if you *really* want to find out, start a disc burn with the files in question (probably you can only do 20 at a time at most). ones that are truly corrupt will announce themselves.
