Hi,
I use a MacBook and am using an audio midi interface.
I have all of my songs ripped to my hard drive.
Is there a way to normalise the audio output? Quite a few songs I have played so far are coming out at different volumes.
Thanks,
Paul.
Normalise Audio?
Re: Normalise Audio?
kJams at this time does not have a "normalize audio" function.
but you can set a volume on each song which the song will remember, and re-apply next time it is played.

Re: Normalise Audio?
OK thanks Dave.
In that case, I may have another question.
I have been advised that I could run MacMP3Gain on all of the MP3 files to normalise.
The problem is that all of my files are in a mix of folders and some are zipped and some unzipped.
If I unzip the ones that are zipped into the same folder, will Kjams lose the file? Would I then have to relink?

Re: Normalise Audio?
i think that would be a very bad idea. you'd destroy your library, unless this MacMP3Gain can unzip, fix, rezip and replace the original.

Re: Normalise Audio?
I'm going to try an experiment using a few things i've found on this forum
- export all files command
- finder search for all zip files in the resulting export folder
- select all and open the resulting search results to unzip all the files
- search again then delete zip files
- use this MP3Gain meta normaliser
- use the script i found on this forum for re-zipping the paired files
- clear and rebuild the kJams Library with the resulting files.
Hopefully, I'll have a lovely, organised library with consistent levels.
I'll report back. wish me luck.
