Vanishing Library

Feel free to post bug reports here. I need exact, detailed steps showing me how I can re-create the bug on my machine, so give as much info and detail as possible.

dave wrote:i really think this is a permissions problem on your iMac A, and therefore i doubt that a reinstall of kJams will do anything for you. Good news! Verizon is here right now and is installing my fiber. I hope to be up and running tonight! Are you around this afternoon? else are you around sunday? I can have a look finally!

You are on the other side of the world to me. Well not quite, I am on GMT you are on GMT -8 or so the forum clock tells me. This is the problem when we communicate.

iMac A works very hard for it's living and is often in use in the teaching studio. This further complicates the matching up of times.

Sunday would normally be o.k. but I am at a conference much of the day this weekend. t Of course I reach Sunday long before you do so it would have to be later in the day for me and earlier for you.

Is there not something I can try in the meantime?

yes you can verify you have permission to write in to your "kJams Library" folder.

Just for the sake of other forum readers. It turned out that (as usual) Dave was spot on. It did turn out to be a permissions issue.

Setting all of my kJams folders to READ + WRITE sorted out my vanishing library issue.
