beach ball after inactivity?

Hi I have had for a while now had a small problem with my MacPro OS10.5: when the kjam pro hoster program is sitting unused for about 10 minutes or so give or take, when you say wish to enact any sort of action, say view a song in the library it will not respond for 5 to 15 seconds (with the beach ball rotating)

can you consistently, reliably reproduce the problem?

when you say "view a song" what EXACTLY do you mean? do you mean search? do you mean double click?
