please describe in detail exactly what you're doing, step by step. eg:

1: a folder on the desktop with 4 songs (zipped) inside it
2: run kjams
3: file->add to library
4: pick the folder on the desktop
5: when kjams asks how to import, i pick "copy/move"

<-- at this point kjams hangs

or something. i did the above and it worked just fine. what did YOU do, exactly? :)

Open kJams
Wait for activity window to stop showing progress bars
Hit command/o
Navigate to a track and hit choose
when next window opens hit reference
A window opens saying adding to library with another window underneath that I can't read
add.png
The window does not go away ever

where, exactly, is said track? i bet it is on the desktop. and is it exactly ONE track, or did you pick a folder?

you can't reference from the desktop, you can only "copy/move". that's probably what that dialog is saying. You can't do that because 90% of people think that reference means copy, so they "reference" it then throw out the file on the desktop, throwing out their only copy. but the dialog should come up in front, not behind, that is a bug.
