Feel free to post bug reports here. I need exact, detailed steps showing me how I can re-create the bug on my machine, so give as much info and detail as possible.

Custom LAME Preset

Post by Dr.Rhythm »

I created a custom preset with 256 VBR and after which no matter what I do to try to change my custom LAME preset. I always get 256kbps VBR mp3 files. I tried deleting my preset and recreating it with other settings and I still get 256 VBR files. I even quit kJams and deleted the rtm file that was created when I made the preset and then launched kJams again and created another new preset and still I get 256 kbps VBR mp3s.

I have not tried rebooting but I will try that. I did of course relaunch the application.

may i assume you installed LAME from the download you got from my site? and that you either had never installed it before or you un-installed any previous installation first?

I'm pretty sure I downloaded LAME from your site. I rebooted and no joy. I could remove my LAME install if you want and reload.

It's currently installed here:

/Library/Frameworks/LAME.framework/Versions/A/LAME

The receipt shows, 1.4.1 Lame Component Installer

I just rebuilt my computer before I installed kJams so there's no chance I have any other versions of LAME on my computer.

Okay no problem. I'm happy with the 256 bit VBR files.
