Adding a new singer brings up ERROR

Mac ver. 1.0d52r51, I'm getting 1 of 3 errors when I add new singers. I have my KJams folder on an external harddrive, and the alias in my user folder per the directions.

"There was an error saving the file "Singer.xml": File Not Found"
"There was an error saving the file "Tonight.xml": File Not Found"
"There was an error saving the file "History.xml": File Not Found"

However, when I go to the finder, those files are there.

tried "new singer" and it works for me, so we'll take a look (again) on monday or tuesday.
