Audio Output via Display Port on MacBook Pro

Installed kjams on a brand new MacBook Pro today. Using the MBP as a source going to a Displayport to HDMI adaptor to (2) tvs and audio system. Sound does not always go through the external setup, mainly through computer speakers. If I do get the sound through the external setup them once the song changes, music starts playing through the computer speakers again.

I've tried changing the audio settings and every other music source I play will route to the external system.

Any ideas?

which audio settings did you change? the one in the kJams prefs or the system prefs?

I tried both. I went into system preference and selected the HDMI output for audio. I then played around with the kJams switching between system default and the other. It appeared at times to work when I selected the other the sound would change. Then a couple of times it would automatically change at around 30 seconds. Sometimes it wouldn't at all.

quit kjams
set system prefs to use HDMI output
run kJams
set kJams to use System output
now play around. does it mess up? if so, when?

then do this:
quit kjams
set system prefs to use speakers
run kJams
set kJams to use HDMI output
now play around. does it mess up? if so, when?

This is actually a client of mine's system (I'm a custom a/v integrator). I forwarded your response to him and will report back with either his findings or whenever I'm onsite next.
