Many times when I quit kJams, It gets hung up with the following task message being displayed:
[color=#FF0000]"Abort song importers and zip tasks"[/color]
I have to then force quit kJams in order to get out of hangup.
Is there something I'm missing?

there are some "resource tracking" bugs related to the Spooler.
if you play a song and it can't be found, or if there's an error of any kind getting a song playing, or if you play it and it silently fails, or any of several other scenarios, it leaves a spool on the floor. The good elves won't turn the lights off (quit) if there's a mess (spool on the floor) but at that point the Cleanup Elf has already gone home, so the quitting elf is stuck waiting forever at the light switch.
yeah, force quit for now, i'll be fixing that bug eventually.
