iMac goes into Sleep

Post by leo-magic »

Hi!

A few weeks ago I had the problem, that my iMac G5 went into sleep while running kJams. Today the same: I updated the triceras store and while kJams was parsing the file, my iMac went into Sleep. I wake it up by clicking the mouse-button, but a few seconds later, same thing: my iMac goes into sleep.

After quitting kJams the iMac works well again. Stange thing...

ok, my iMac also went into sleep after quitting kJams... Maybe it's also a problem of my iMac... Does iMacs go to sleep when they are to hot (temperature of hd,...)?

no, it's set no "never". But I read that iMacs goes into sleep when they are to hot. I think kJams is heating up my mac...

you can see what is "heating up" your mac by running "activity monitor" and sort by "CPU", i suspect it is firefox.
