kJams for Windows not opening?

kjams download for windows will not open.

"application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. reinstalling the application may fix this problem."

tried several times with the same results.

is this my system?

opperator error?

running windows xp version 5.1(build 2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.100216.-1514:service pack3)

can you please point me in the right direction?

The solution is to install the MSVC Runtimes.

seems to be working fine now. thanks for you time on this. came back up fine ,just had to add a short cut to desk top.
