"song version" drop-down menu filter

this would help tidy my library up immensely, say u have 5 different versions of the same song is there by any chance u could fix it so that, when you chose between them you would only have to select an option from a drop-down menu showing which vendor the track is from.

for instance this would allow me to quickly change the selected track if the punter prefers the sound choice over the sunfly etc.

would there be any way to remove the duplicates from the main library so that you would only see the track once instead of having it repeated multiple times?

Dave, I think what the OP meant was that he wanted to generate just a LIST without duplicates, allowing him then to select specific version from the drop down (thus cleaning up search results) NOT that he wanted to cull duplicates from the Library entirely.

Though I could be quite mistaken.

if that is the case, try new->preset playlist->unique songs
