Second video monitoring window

Is kJams missing a feature you need? Post it here! Note: if iTunes has it but kJams doesn't, it's a good bet kJams will have it, but that I just haven't gotten around to it yet. But go ahead and request it anyway!

Second video monitoring window

Post by cutmoney »

Okay, here is a request I have never posted but have found a few occations when it would have been useful. It would be nice if kJams had a second output window (besides the full screen one) which you could view on your monitor. So, for instance, if you are doing karaoke at location where you aren't able to view the karaoke monitor (as I have had on a few occations), you could still see when the song ends and/or if there are any problems.

This window wouldn't need to be very large, maybe just a half-size window or something, anything would help.

Ya mean like this? :D That's my plan. You can hide it of course.

Yep, that's what I was thinking. That's an interesting layout, did you come up with that all by yourself? Just kidding.

So how about the video window a la iTunes?

I've found myself really wanting this feature. Any chance it will make it into a revision soon?

i wouldn't say "soon" but it's a lot closer now that I don't have to worry about Universal and Burning.

Next up is more QuickTime support, maybe after that.

(: Yes, soon, soon! Another vote for this one!

Right after AUTO-CUE - of course - the most important feature of all!!!

Where is the AUTO-CUE thread, anyway? :)

Just had another gig this weekend where the singer's LCD screen got pulled away by the dancers to an angle where I couldn't see it - wishing again for that second window!

2nd video windoe

We're close. seems like KT has stabilized to the point where I can do some fun and useful features. Currently i'm working on real QT export. Things like auto-cue / multiple video windows / splitting video (same stream to more than one monitor) etc. are now a bit closer to the top. All of these require the "independent streams" feature that got voted down to zero.

They may have voted against "independent streams", but I see a lot of votes written in for the features that rely on it!
