I am sure that this has been asked/discussed before but I can't find the answer.
At the moment the only way to edit a track title is to…
highlight it,
hit command+I
tab to the correct fied
make the edit
click ok (or enter)
It would be sweet if it could work the same way as iTunes in that you can click on any field in a highlighted tune and that field becomes highlighted in an edit box.
Is this something that is planned for the future? If so how high up the list is it?

I hopped in my time machine and put that feature in for you. you can now go to the preferences->Tags->Allow tag editing in Browser and check that box. then you can click on text in the browser and edit it right there. the tab key will move you to the next field (shift tab goes backward). Currently, if some field has NO text in it, you can't click it (oops) but you CAN tab into it.
