The ability to search for ", A" and ", The"

My karaoke library has been mostly inherited, and so I've spent a lot of time and effort on reorganising, renaming and cleaning up the metadata.

One problem I've run into is that some tracks have the beginning 'A' or 'The' at the end of the track name, which I don't want. I suspect they've been put there by other software in the past.

I haven't yet found an easy way to filter out these tracks so I can edit them. Please tell me I'm missing something?

go to prefs->importing->move "the" to end of artist title, turn that off
search for "artist:," (without quotes)
select all
advanced->artist name: swap first<->last
that should fix the artist names

search for "song name:," (without quotes)
you'll have to fix those by hand
