Stops respond playing video

While playing video, it stops respond to graphic interface.
Can't quit.

After playing, interface gets unresponsive.
And when pausing and starting a bit they hang in the beginning.

The issues are in two emails dec 11, -21, subject:
"stops responding when playing video, attached clip"
"Lost control playing video"

They are in your "On deck" list in Trello.
I just started to think, is it my handling rather than kJams at fault.

Well your mac is obviously high powered, so it's very strange you're getting this problem.
Also: any bug in kJams is always the fault of kJams.

I'm having the same problem. A song will finish, I start the next one and it starts and gets stuck in repeat mode for the firs few frames and stays that way. Can't stop it so am forced to force quit the app.

yes, i've seen this problem too. i can reproduce it well enough to try to debug it.

Really sorry but i'm out of the office now for about a month, but it is my TOP priority when i get back!
you can track the things i'm working on here.

meanwhile: be ready to force quit and re-run, as a stop-gap measure to get you running.

So a new 64bit update will come hopefully this week, where I enable the ability to turn off “backup database” in the Advanced pref panel.

This will stop backing up your DB file, which may relieve the problem of kJams hanging for you.

I’ll want you to get this update, turn OFF backups, then use it, and see if the hanging goes away for you..

The mp4 malfunction still there.
Interface becomes unresponsive, hangs on repeating first seconds of song, has to be force quitted.

In Trello "Hang" is under "Follow up", i thought it might have been partially addressed.
Btw, Trello is a really nice thing, following the progress!

try this:
go to kjams->prefs->advanced, and UN-check "automatically make backups of database"
see if that helps?
