okay if you pick "about %s", then what does it say? and if you pick it again, what's it say?

I get the software info in video window. Second time it takes down info.

sorry i didn't understand that. do this: pick "about "%"", then show the menu again and screen shot it. then pick the menu item again. then show the menu again and screen shot it.

4 after second time clicking first choise.

Feels like working ok, only not the text in the menu.

I would choose to get the "about" box in a separate window, in front. Not using the video window. Would adhere more to other programs i suppose.
