Is there a built-in Sound Choice store?

Just talk about kJams stuff with each other, describe things you did that worked, talk about your setup, anything that doesn't fit into the other forums!

let me get this straight:

1: you have the VERY LATEST version of kjams
2: run
3: it says "must update music store"
4: you hit OK on that
5: show the tasks window, you see:
a: the music store "downloads"
b: the music store "parses"
c: the music store "saves"
d: the database "saves"
6: quit
7: run
8: it says "must update music store"

is that right?
if so, send me your log file help->send log file

All ok, but never says "saving database".

I saved it manuelly with conrol+S now.

Restart: same "tricerasoft zoom-critical message"...

send me your log file AFTER you save the database.

and BTW: it's not *control*, it's *command*. Control is a PC thing.

and BTBTW: to force save the DB is command-option-shift-S (⌘⌥⇧-S) (specifically do NOT hold the control (⌃) key, unless you also want to do an exhaustive search for every song saved, which takes longer, but will ensure you have no missing songs)

Okay. based on your feedback (THANKS!) i've modified my code to be much more explicit in the log file about the date checking.

after the new update (r31) is posted, please do the same procedure and send me the new log file! with that in hand I'll be able to pinpoint the problem!

I know what the problem is.

kJams has a bug where it does not parse international dates correctly. if your date settings are anything other than US English, you'll get the "must update" over and over. For now, set your Date stuff to US English (or just keep hitting cancel for now) and you'll be good. i'll fix kJams to deal with international dates and you can then set it back.
