List of Songs Sung

Post by Karanight »

I thought I'd start a new thread for song sung on our systems.
On another thread I said I use a singers file as a library and I keep it at the top by using ^ before the name "Library" Each track is unique and I have all the tracks that have ever been played in this library and it makes searching much faster (almost instant).

If the track requested isn't in this library I add it from the main library. I also created a book from this secondary library with just 1735 unique tracks in it and the singers love it because the book isn't full of songs that are never sung.
In the book I've made room at the top and bottom of each page so I can add up to 7 songs to a page and not have to reprint the whole book, which means I can update every month by printing out just the pages with the extra songs on them.
The books therefore have quite a long life and yet remain bang up to date.
I must add to this that if I run out of space I will then look at the songs that have only been sung once and If I thought they were stupid songs I would delete them to make room for new songs that are popular.

Below is a link to every song thats ever been done on my system

http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuse ... =469506059

I've noticed that some contributers have listed there popular songs elsewhere . I think it must be very helpful to KJ's that are starting out because they can look at songs that's been sung on other KJ's systems and hopefully they won't be buying tracks that are never sung

If we keep listing all song thats been sung here it will help both new and old KJ's but I think its a good idea to state the country we're in, jfbiii said that one of my tracks "Oh So Quite by Bjork" may never have been attempted in the entire state of Mississippi, but in the UK it's popular. having said that jfbiii has since tried it and now has some singers that do the song which goes to show Singing at karaoke crosses all boundaries.

That's a pretty interesting list. I can't believe that you have MIA's Paper Planes, though. I'd shoot myself before I put that in my system for people to sing. LOL. I cringe every time I hear Straight to Hell by the Clash because I'm afraid it's Paper Planes. I keep forgetting about the Outfield's "Your Love." I need to add that one to my favorites list. And I've been really tempted by MGMT. I've been eying it long enough that I might have to try that tonight. It'll be interesting to see how your list changes over time. "Picture" is missing, for one. Maybe you'll get lucky and you won't have to hear that one very often. :)
From he to whom much liquor is given...much singing is expected.

I heard my share of it up until a year or so ago, I'd say. Luckily for me it's faded...but now I've probably jinxed myself.
