I prefer buying songs from companies that let me download both CD-G and .mp4 versions of the song. I want to play .mp4, but have the CD-G version in case I ever plan on burning them on a disk.
I bought 9 .mp4 songs from one company in two orders that are giving me problems. I get the beach ball on kJams, and the lyrics pause, not staying caught up with the music. I just e-mailed that company to find out whether I can download CD-G versions of those songs.
I haven't had any troubles with other .mp4 songs, only those from this company.
Has anybody else had issues with .mp4 songs from one company or another?

One company's .mp4 cause beach ball
Re: One company's .mp4 cause beach ball
kJams currently can't really play 1080p HD video files, even when compressed with h.264. Video hardware acceleration IS planned for the 64bit port, which is (slowly) underway, so that restriction will eventually be lifted.
the option for now: downsample the video to 720p at 15fps, using Handbrake
also, always set your external display (the one you put the video lyrics on) to 720p. do NOT set it to 1080, even if you don't SHOW 1080 video.
