Mixing MIC input on my Mac with kJams output

Just talk about kJams stuff with each other, describe things you did that worked, talk about your setup, anything that doesn't fit into the other forums!

Mixing MIC input on my Mac with kJams output

Post by hd_88b »

I'm trying to take the mic input (from a dual wireless mic system )into my mic in on a MacBook. The video and music are playing fine (on an A/V receiver via HDMI out). I don't seem to get any output from the mic input. The Apple preferences are set correctly. Do I need to do something in the channel setup? Did a search but did not find anything in the Help.

You first need to make sure your output from the mics is line level. Mics usually put out a mic-level signal, which is way weaker than line level, and will need a mic preamp to be sensed by the Mac/PC.

on the Mac you can use Audio Hijack to amp the mic but an analog pre-amp is way better
