I recently deleted a TON of music from my external that was not used in the last 4 months...Do I need to remove them all manually from the library or can is there a new "scan" that I'm not seeing?
THANKS!
Scan For Orphans gone?
Re: Scan For Orphans gone?
if you remove files out from under kJams then you're shooting yourself in the foot. with a squirt gun really cuz there's an easy work around.
but just wanna say that best thing to do is use kJams to delete the songs you don't want (edit->trash original files), that way the library database stays sync'd
but in this case do this:
* run kjams
* cmd-opt-shift-s <-- that will cause the database to be saved and kjams will do an exhaustive search for all song files. it will mark as missing any songs that no longer refer to files
* show the "missing" sort column (here is how to hide/show sort columns)
* sort by missing (maybe sort reverse by clicking it again)
* select all the missing ones
* delete

Re: Scan For Orphans gone?
Thanks Dave...I had to remove them from the HDD first, as I bought new discs and my drive was full...time to upgrade to a 2TB Studio.
Thanks!
