New Computer - How do I configure as a backup?
Hi Dave, I bought a new MacBook Pro and want to use it as a backup for my KJams work. How do I set it up to be a backup on KJams? Do I have to buy a second license? Thanks. Joe

run and go help->enter serial number, then paste your SN.
to use it as a backup, generally folks use an external drive, with all their kJams stuff moved over to it. here's the article on that:

you want "music plus all library settings".
then, on the 2nd computer, just do the same steps but start at step 3.
then, you can plug the drive into either computer and it should "just work" with all your songs, playlists, singers & venues!

Dave, I can't thank you enough for the time and personal attention you gave to me in setting up my new MacBook to work with my external drive. Now I am confident that I can go out and perform knowing I have a competent backup unit which mirrors my primary unit. I can definately sleep better at night! Now go out and buy those cigars!!
